Fast and Accurate AR (Augmented Reality) Positioning

SOUTH's new palm-sized RTK receiver - Insight V3 - is practically a replacement for the G4 and has the same receiver as the G4. It comes in two models, the V3S with AR stakeout, i.e. finding objects with cameras, and the V3, which also has the ability to make remote measurements of objects (photogrammetry). The V3 seamlessly integrates GNSS, IMU sensor and camera, bringing RTK measurement and position measurement to a new era. Based on integrated GNSS positioning technology, IMU compensation, imaging and real-time receiver height calculation, the Insight V3 provides live visual data, resulting in a precise display of the marked object on the screen. Versatile ways of use

The V3 has a wide range of uses: you can use it either as a rover (a measuring device) or as a base (a base station), and as a base station you can send a signal either via a GSM network or a UHF radio. You can make measurements using South's own Survstar software or others, such as Aplitop TcpGPS or QField. You can also control the device using a PC or phone with the WebUI user interface, in which case you don't need Survstar. In this case, you can program the device to send an NMEA message via Bluetooth to another measurement program running on your phone or computer, such as the Finnish Infrakit. With the WebUI, you can also program the device to measure RINEX data automatically for PPK measurement.

Advanced positioning algorithm

The V3 utilizes a SoC-type GNSS chip with 1698 channels for multi-satellite families and multi-frequency tracking, effectively suppressing interference signals and obtaining higher quality observation data from satellites. The V3 brings a new experience to RTK positioning and ensures stable performance even in difficult conditions

Virtual guidance to targets

AR technology displays a virtual direction line and distances to the target on the real-time image display; therefore, the survey software can guide you to the points using real-time images, eliminating the need to worry about recognizing the route directions, saving time and effort.

Excellent Inertial Measurement Unit (=IMU)

The built-in high-performance automatic IMU compensator corrects the coordinates of the measuring rod tip. Measure or mark points precisely as you like without the receiver being mounted exactly level. Combined with the latest measurement software, the IMU can be quickly and easily triggered by just walking a few steps.

Powerful internal UHF radio

The Insight V3 is equipped with a new South-developed digital radio module that utilizes "Farlink" communication technology, which increases signal sensitivity and transmission efficiency to achieve an extremely long working range.
