The G7Q is a South RTK GNSS device at a slightly lower price, but still offers all the same features as the more expensive devices.
South has one of the longest histories in its industry, having been in operation since 1989 and in its current form since 1998. Dimense Oy selects equipment suppliers based on product performance and overall quality, factory technical support and warranty, and supporting materials such as user manuals. South's equipment has proven to be highly efficient and durable.
The GNSS unit of the G7Q is integrated into an advanced SoC chip, which has the advantages of high integration capability and low power consumption, effective suppression of interference signals, and higher quality observation data from satellite constellations.
Combined with a powerful 1598-channel GNSS RTK engine and a new generation of sensitive antenna, the G7Q achieves centimeter accuracy in seconds, while fully tracking GPS, GLONASS, BEIDOU, GALILEO and QZSS signals.
One-button start design, one button brings all RTK functions to mind. The display on the body is a translucent, highly durable panel with a stronger visual technological impression. In addition, the four-color indicator light makes general information clearly visible at a glance.
The built-in powerful IMU automatic compensator, which corrects coordinates according to the pole tip, helps users measure or mark points quickly and accurately without the need for strict alignment of the receiver. It helps surveyors improve productivity by 30%.
In addition, compensation is still available even if the fixed solution is lost in a short time. Surveyors can continue working after the fixed solution is restored without re-initializing the IMU module. The tilt angle can be up to 60°.
The built-in SOUTH self-developed digital radio with advanced Farlink protocol enables the G7Q to have a typical operating range of 8 km. The Farlink transmission bandwidth is increased, and it increases the sensitivity of radio signal interception, which perfectly solves the problem of large data volume of multiple constellation transmission. Power consumption can also be reduced by about 60% with the same amount of data compared to traditional RTK.
The new generation SoC platform provides RTK with more stable performance and lower power consumption. The built-in 6800mAh high-capacity battery supports more than 15 hours of continuous use. With the universal Type-C interface, the G7Q allows the built-in batteries to be charged via PD fast charger and supports power supply from a backup power source to ensure all-day working. Both the internal memory and the web interface can be accessed through this Type-C interface at the same time without having to switch the operating mode of this port.
