Parrot Anafi AI

Parrot, a French drone manufacturer, has introduced the Anafi AI specifically for professional use: photogrammetry, mapping, technical inspection and surveying, not to mention 4K video recording. The unique feature of this drone is the use of a 4G data connection in addition to Wifi for control and it allows complete control of the device even in difficult conditions and long distances. The IPX3 waterproof ANAFI Ai also features a unique camera system that includes stereoscopic cameras on both sides of the 48 MP main camera, allowing 360-degree obstacle detection. This system is also used in photogrammetry mode, allowing the Ai system to map the environment while using the main camera to record images. Utilizing this technology, the ANAFI Ai is able to fly indoors, using the information collected by these cameras to determine and direct speed in real time, utilizing the reflected light of the LEDs integrated into the stereo pair. Parrot uses an open source (FreeFlight) application to control the Anafi AI with a smartphone. Anafi AI is compatible with most major programs and protocols. AI (Artificial Intelligence) appears in Anafi AI at several points. One of them is, for example, the ability of artificial intelligence to find the size, height, tilt, and heading angle of a tower antenna independently during an inspection, which optimizes the inspection process. This is used in conjunction with the PIX4Dinspect platform. Artificial intelligence is also used to calculate optimal flight levels in autonomous photogrammetry mode. ANAFI Ai's artificial intelligence uses stereo cameras to create an environmental model for its autonomous flight. This helps the drone to know all the time where the main obstacles are, without seeing them visually.
