LiDAR and RTK GNSS in a single package

The FJDynamics V4E GO is a SLAM LiDAR scanner that utilizes the compact V4E RTK GNSS receiver to generate precise spatial data for the point cloud. This setup leverages the processing power of an iPhone 15 (or newer) to run the SLAM process. Meanwhile, the V4E and V4E Pro models can also be used independently of the SLAM LiDAR—paired with the Trion Survey app (Android)—to capture precise location data, either via a standard survey pole or a “laser pole” (V4E Pro).

LIMITLESS POSSIBILITIES WITH THE “LASER POLE” AND LIDAR TECHNOLOGY

The FJD Trion V4E Mini RTK receiver transcends the limitations of traditional GNSS receivers, combining a compact, portable design with high measurement accuracy. Weighing just 320g, the V4E Pro delivers centimeter-level positioning without the need for a survey pole, making it an ideal choice for land surveyors and mobile professionals. Affordable and easy to use, it puts precise surveying capabilities within anyone’s reach. The price includes Trion Survey, a versatile Android surveying app compatible with modern Android devices. FJD’s proprietary controllers, such as the E600 and UA80, offer the added benefit of water, dust, and frost resistance. The device is available in two versions: Standard and Pro. The difference between the models is that the Pro version features tilt compensation (IMU) and a laser distance meter, enabling laser-based measurements without a survey pole. With the V4E, you can generate point clouds of a target by combining an iPhone Pro with the V4E GO-LiDAR.

COMPACT SIZE, HIGH PERFORMANCE, PRICE €899

It offers centimeter-level precision with a static accuracy of ±1.5 cm. We have verified its actual accuracy on our own test track, and the V4E matches the precision of the larger V10i and V10a units. It supports 1,408 channels and covers all GNSS constellations, including GPS, BDS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and SBAS. Weighing just 320 g, the V4E offers broad compatibility with popular correction services and supports NTRIP connectivity using RTCM 2.3, RTCM 3.x, and CMR formats. The standard V4E model is priced at €899 (excl. VAT; includes Trion Survey software), establishing a new price point for RTK GNSS devices without compromising on features. By utilizing Android’s “mock location” feature, you can access precise positioning data in other geospatial Android applications, such as Karttaselain or Infrakit.

NO POLE? NO PROBLEM

The built-in IMU compensates for tilt angles of up to 30° (Pro version), so you do not need to hold the device perfectly upright. This provides an accuracy of ≤3 cm at a distance of 3 meters from the target—without needing to hold the pole vertically, or even without using a pole at all, relying solely on the laser. Its built-in LiDAR rangefinder achieves ±3 mm accuracy at a distance of 10 meters for precise point targeting.

CAPTURE POINT CLOUDS WITH SCAN AND LIDAR OPTIONS

There are two options available to enable the V4E to function as an RTK device with LiDAR capabilities: using iPhone Pro models or a separate LiDAR unit. The SCAN package utilizes the built-in LiDAR of iPhone Pro models (for distances up to 5 meters), while the LIDAR package includes a handheld LiDAR unit that captures 154,600 points per second at ranges up to 50 meters, with a 70 x 360-degree scanning field of view. Compatible iPhone models include the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, or newer.

DURABILITY FOR ALL-DAY WORK

Stay productive throughout the entire workday. The V4E operates for over 12 hours and charges in less than 3 hours. You can even keep the V4E running while charging it with a power bank, ensuring your work is never interrupted. With an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance and the ability to withstand drops of 1.2 meters, it is built to endure demanding environments. COMPREHENSIVE FILE FORMAT SUPPORT

In the Trion Survey software, you can use OpenStreetMap, Google vector or satellite maps, or WMS-format maps as background maps; if a WMS map uses the EPSG:3857 format, it can be displayed simultaneously with other background maps. You can overlay editable layers—such as AutoCAD (DXF) files or vector data in SHP or XML formats—on top of the background map. You can also import or save graphics libraries, such as DNE files. Additionally, you can attach multimedia—like images or audio—to surveyed points. Naturally, you can also save surveyed points as text-based files.

FROM FIELD TO OFFICE – BOOST PRODUCTIVITY WITH THE FREE TRION SURVEY CLOUD AND FREE UPDATES

Seamlessly connect field and office teams. With the included cloud service—which complies with the stricter EU data security regulations taking effect in autumn 2025—you can transmit data and project updates from the field in real time, accelerating workflows at both ends. No more waiting—just productivity. Share system parameters and configuration data, including coordinate systems, geoid models, and datum grid files. You can also transfer data, such as survey results, via the cloud service.
